Lake Jocassee

This famous lake is located on the North and South Carolina border and has produced five state records for Brown trout, Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Redeye Bass, and Spotted bass. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources stocks between 40,000 and 100,000 trout annually in the lake, making the trout fishing and subsequently the bass fishing both outstanding.  This heavy stocking enables the bass species to reach heavy weights by consuming the protein in small trout.  Trolling for Trout here is a great activity for the whole family.   When the bite is on, our fishing guides say it is the most exciting trout lake in the Southeast.  Located only 35 minutes from Greenville, South Carolina, Lake Jocassee offers a nearby yet world class fishing experience for North and South Carolina anglers.
